Sus artículos A Formalization of Propositional Calculus of H-B Logic (1974), On the Strong Completeness of H-B Predicate Calculus (1977), An Algebraic Approach to the Heyting-Brouwer Predicate Calculus (1977) y Applications of Kripke-Models to Heyting-Brouwer Logic (1977) pertenecen a esta línea. En colaboración con Hiroakira Ono publicó On an Algebraic and Kripke Semantics for Intermediate Logics.

Junto con Zdzisław Pawlak publicó Dependency of Attributes in Information Systems (1985), y en artículos como Algebraic Properties of Functional Dependencies, An Equivalence between Theory of Functional Dependencies and a Fragment of Intuitionistic Logic y Remarks on Logic for Dependencies estudió la estructura lógica de las dependencias en bases de datos relacionales.

Esta línea incluye trabajos como On Stable Autoepistemic Theories (1988), Expansions and Models of Autoepistemic Theories (1990), Reducts in Information Systems (1991) y The Discernibility Matrices and Functions in Information Systems, escrito con Andrzej Skowron.
