Stephen Roberts (23 de novembro de 1895 – 17 de julho de 1936) foi um diretor de cinema americano que dirigiu mais de 100 filmes entre 1923 e 1936.
Durante a Primeira Guerra Mundial, Steve Roberts foi aviador. Após a guerra, comprou seus próprios aviões e percorreu os Estados Unidos com um circo voador, apresentando-se em feiras e parques de diversões. Sua carreira na aviação terminou no Texas quando, após realizar giros, espirais e outras manobras perigosas, seu motor falhou e o avião caiu 900 metros abaixo. "Ainda bem que a queda foi de apenas 900 metros", brincou Roberts. Roberts mudou-se para a RKO Radio Pictures ainda em 1934 e recuperou o seu talento como um diretor eficiente e versátil. Seu último filme foi a comédia de William Powell e Jean Arthur, The Ex-Mrs. Bradford (1936); o cineasta morreu de um ataque cardíaco dois meses após o lançamento do filme.
