Joel S. Migdal (n. 1945) es un autor estadounidense, autor de diversos textos de política comparada y Oriente Próximo.
Biografía Nacido el 1 de abril de 1945 en Roosevelt, en el estado de Nueva Jersey, es autor de obras como Peasants, Politics, and Revolution: Pressures toward Political and Social Change in the Third World (1974), Strong Societies and Weak States: State-Society Relations and State Capabilities in the Third World (1988), Palestinians: The Making of a People (1993, junto con Baruch Kimmerling), Through the Lens of Israel: Explorations in State and Society (2001), The Palestinian People: A History (2003) y Shifting Sands: The United States in the Middle East (2014). así como editor de títulos como Palestinian Society and Politics (1980).
