The Spanish Cockpit (en español El Reñidero español) es un libro sobre la Guerra Civil Española, escrito por Franz Borkenau y publicado a finales de 1937. Se basa en sus dos visitas a España durante la guerra, en agosto de 1936 y enero de 1937, en las que visitó Barcelona, Madrid, Toledo, Valencia y los frentes de Aragón y Andalucía. https://hemerotecate.fe.ccoo.es/assets/20020260.pdfEl libro le dio fama internacional. Tras escribir una reseña positiva del libro, describiéndolo como el mejor sobre la Guerra Civil, George Orwell se hizo amigo personal del autor y ambos mantuvieron una estrecha relación política.
