Resultados 500cc Primes éxito de la temporada del Mundial del estadounidense Eddie Lawson, que llegó por delante de su compatriota Randy Mamola y del británico Ron Haslam. El vigente campeón, el australiano Wayne Gardner llegó en décimo lugar lo que supone un vuelco en la clasificación general. Ahora lidera el Mundial Mamola con 4 puntos sobre Gardner y 5 sobre Lawson.
